Michael Bridges, now he was a good player, he was sadly robbed through injury of a great career at the very top, he would have gone on to be a top England International player, that I have no doubt of.

I met Michael Bridges in 2000 when he visited St james hospital (Leeds) and was on the ward my nephew was on (kids ward). What a lovely lad Michael was, so humble and easy to talk to. A really sad day for Michael and leeds Utd when he got injured. For those who don't know much about him he was a hell of a top class player and a cert for a long term england international future.

I don’t understand the grief Bridgey gets. His job is to present, ask questions and interview the players. Of course he’s going to use examples from his career to encourage others to share theirs. He was also a fantastic player for us who clearly still has a real affection for our club. What a great set of lads we have in our squad too. The togetherness is clear and they all seem thoroughly decent blokes.
