Southampton fan here. I’m not here to gloat or rub it in - all season there has been practically nothing between these sides, as was proved again today. Sometimes it’s a coat of paint, but ultimately the reason that neither you or us went up automatically was the consistency and staying power of the two teams above us both. The Championship is the best league IMHO, blood and guts exciting football without the huge financial chasm of the Premier League. I honestly know how it feels to be totally devastated following our teams, but it is the very occasional high that keeps us all watching it. All the very best next season, and I hope you put in a decent challenge just like you did for this one.

Good Lord I never fail to understand the amount of fans that are utterly accepting of mediocrity. With the 2nd best squad this fraud absolutely made a pigs ear of this promotion challenge. Does your brain allow you to process how this fraud with a far inferior squad next season will actually challenge for promotion. Obviously you are unaware that next season 3 teams from the EPL will be part of the championship which will make it even more difficult. I wish I had a boss with your mentality who was utterly oblivious in idendifying mediocrity as I could sit at my desk & scratch my balls all day without fear of retribution.

@@stephenpisani1730 The two CMs are good, it's the fact we don't have a 10 pulling the strings in front of them that's the issue. Rutter is great, but he'd be better as a winger, what we are missing is a Pablo type in the middle creating chances.

@@control2XSGruiv is nowhere near PL quality. He looks quality against low quality championship sides but has been bullied and outclassed when playing Leicester and Southampton. We dropped points at the start of the season which couldn't be helped but after closing the gap the team let themselves down after the international break. 99% of Leeds fans knew in their heads and hearts we would never get through the play offs.

Why did Farke not sub Piroe? Why not make changes at half time? Why play the same formation and method that had already been diagnosed and countered by Southampton previously? Why are we so bad from set pieces? Why pass the ball around and back, when we are 1-0 down? And why not ask him any of these questions in this 'interview'?

I get sick of our passing backward sideways and no shooting. Least with Bielsa we'd have loads of chances and take risks. People saying he did a better job than Bielsa first season! I wanted to see gritty performance today win or lose and I would have been proud. What I saw was Russell Martin again put in a masterclass over us and Farke did exactly the same thing once again, Piroe up front, defence walks through our press and once again overrun in midfield. If you keep your job, please look at being less predictable a layman could work you out never mind a professional manager

How can anyone defend Farke when you’ve got McKenna with a clear defined style of play beating Leeds to promotion with that squad. Rosenior at least has an identity. Farke is slow build up and hope Rutter creates something out of nothing. Totally inept. Needs a reset. Would be dangerous to think we could do better next season

DF is a soft spoken manager .We need a ruthless manager and a massive clear out of players who do not play for the badge . Next season in the championship if there are no drastic changes we will rot in the championship for a couple of years. PM and the 49ers are business opportunist if they can make a quick buck I will not be surprised if they sell their stake in Leeds United since we have failed in our promotion bid today
