A thank you to Gaetano Berardi who joined in 2014 and made 157 appearances for the club. With his committed defensive displays and passion on the pitch, ‘The Lion’ played a crucial part in our Championship-winning season on his way to legendary status at Elland Road.

@@mickw3952 No he didn't - Garry Monk signed Pablo. Berardi, along with Bianchi, Bellusci & co, was just a cheap signing that Cellino made when he first joined because he thought Serie B was a higher standard than the Championship

@@Oscar-og8hw know what you are saying but the fact is when Gary Monk signed Pablo he was working for Cellino who would have sanctioned it. .

@@mickw3952I mean yeah that's true - but Pablo wasn't actively sought after by Cellino though, he would've sanctioned the transfer once Garry Monk requested him but Berardi was purchased by Cellino without any opinion of the head coach

I know Pablo scored some important goals, but I never watched a game where Berardi didnt put himself on the line 100%. Class player, really hope he gets a coaching role at the club.
